Manufacturing Luncheon: Artificial Intelligence in Manufacturing
This luncheon will feature Hazem Refai, Director of Wireless and Electromagnetic Compatibility and Design Center at OU-Tulsa. Dr. Refai is the Williams Chair for Telecommunication and Networking at the OU School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Telecommunication Program in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from the University of Oklahoma. He is the founder and director of the Wireless Electromagnetic Compliance and Design (WeCad) Center at OU-Tulsa. WeCad’s mission is to conduct basic and applied research examining wireless coexistence. Through his tenure at OU, Dr. Refai has secured more than $9M of grants and contracts and published more than 245 referred papers for national and international conferences and Journal articles. His fields of interest include the development of optical wireless communication, physical and medium access control layers to enhance wireless coexistence, cognitive radios and networks, and last but not least application of artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms in transportation, communication, and brain research. He is a past IEEE ComSoc Tulsa Chapter President and served as the organization’s North American Distinguished Lecturer Tour Coordinator.
